Tesla will halt production at its factory near Berlin for two weeks starting January 29 due to supply chain disruptions. Attacks on ships in the Red Sea have caused delays in component deliveries. The Grünheide factory, with an annual capacity of 375,000 cars, plans to fully resume production on February 12. Houthi militants, based in Yemen, have increased attacks on Red Sea vessels in retaliation for Israel’s conflict with Hamas in Gaza. Major shipping companies have been avoiding the Red Sea, leading to rerouted ships and significant delays.
